What to Expect During Worship
We hope that you feel comfortable coming as you are. God invites us to gather together as we are, regardless of our mood or circumstances and without any need for putting on a happy face. We have no specific dress code. Most people dress casually, though some come in suits while others come in shorts and t-shirts.
Our time of worship includes singing songs along with a band, prayers, scripture readings, sermons (which is someone teaching from the bible), and announcements of what is going on in the community. For more information on our worship, click here.
On Communion Sundays we will receive bread and juice. The bread is gluten, dairy, egg, nut, and milk free and the juice is alcohol free so that everyone can participate together as one body. For more information about Communion, click here.
Our time of worship is streamed live online so that those who are not able to come to the building can continue to worship with us. Most of the pews are not visible on camera with the exception of the front two pews in the centre aisle as marked by “on camera” signs. By sitting in those areas or voluntarily walking through the front of the worship area during worship, you are giving permission to be on our YouTube stream.
If you have children or youth, please be sure to sign them in on the computers in the lounge. This is part of our safety policy to help ensure the safety of our children and youth. For more information on Children and Youth ministry, please click here.
On most Sundays children and youth will go downstairs for their own time of worship after the Children and Youth’s blessing. On the last Sunday of every month the youth will stay in the upstairs worship gathering. Additionally, every few months we have Intergenerational Worship where all generations worship together. These gatherings are designed to be accessible and engaging for all generations.
We will not be passing an offering plate. There will be a time during worship where we are invited to offer ourselves to God, financial offerings being just one facet of giving ourselves to God. Those who wish to worship through financial giving can do so using the QR codes located in the pews or using the physical locked offering box near the entrance to the Worship Area. For our Offering page, click here.
Join us after for refreshments over in the lounge, we would love to get to know you!
