Saviour, I come, quiet my soul
Remember redemption's hill
Where Your blood was spilled
For my ransomEverything I once held dear
I count it all as lossLead me to the cross
Where Your love poured out
Bring me to my knees
Lord I lay me down
Rid me of my sin
I belong to You
Oh lead me lead me to the crossYou were as I tempted and tried human
The word became flesh
Bore my sin in death
Now You're risen
Everything I once held dear
I count it all as lossEverything I once held dear
I count it all as lossLead me to the cross
Where Your love poured out
Bring me to my knees
Lord I lay me down
Rid me of my sin
I belong to You
Oh lead me lead me to the crossTo Your heart
To Your heart
Lead me to Your heart
Lead me to Your heartLead me to the cross
Where Your love poured out
Bring me to my knees
Lord I lay me down
Rid me of my sin
I belong to You
Oh lead meLead me to the cross
Where Your love poured out

Should I forget the kindness of Your heart,
Should I forget how beautiful Your grace,
O lead me to that old and rugged cross
And let these eyes be opened once againShould I look up and see those healing wounds
Be unaffected by this mystery
O wash me now beneath that crimson flow
Let me behold the King of CalvaryHere every drop of blood
Says I am loved and mercy reaches out for me
Let every grateful breath
Cry hallelujah to the King of CalvaryThe blood that flowed will never lose its power
This cross of Christ forever stands to say
That we have been adopted into love
And rescued by the King of Calvary
O praise His name, this King who died for meHere every drop of blood
Says I am loved and mercy reaches out for me
Let every grateful breath
Cry hallelujah to the King of CalvaryThen to arrive in paradise one day
And see in full as I am fully seen
O what a grace forever to behold
The Lamb of God, my King of Calvary
O praise His name, this King who died for me
This King who died for me

O sacred Head, now wounded, with grief and shame weighed down
Now scornfully surrounded with thorns Thine only crown;
How pale Thou art with anguish, with sore abuse and scorn,
How does that visage languish, which once was bright as morn!What Thou, my Lord, hast suffered was all for sinners’ gain;
Mine, mine was the transgression, but Thine the deadly pain.
Lo, here I fall, my Saviour; ‘tis I deserve Thy place;
Look on me with Thy favour, assist me with Thy grace.What language shall I borrow to thank Thee, dearest Friend,
For this, Thy dying sorrow, Thy pity without end?
O make me Thine forever, and should I fainting be,
Lord, let me never, never outlive my love to Thee.Words & Music by Paul Gerhardt and Hans Leo Hassler. Public Domain.

How deep the Father’s love for us,
How vast beyond all measure,
That He should give His only Son
To make a wretch His treasure.
How great the pain of searing loss,
The Father feels His agony,
As wounds which mar the Chosen One
Bring many into glory.Behold the man upon a Cross,
My sin upon His shoulders;
Ashamed, I hear my mocking voice
Call out among the scoffers.
It was my sin that held Him there
Until it was accomplished;
His dying breath has brought me life —
I know that it is finished.It was my sin that held Him there
Until it was accomplished;
His dying breath has brought me life —
I know that it is finished.(all songs used by Permission. CCLI #66885)

Behold this King so innocent
A crown of thorns upon His head
Feel His heart, His heart of grace
Behold this Man of suffering
Who bore the cross and all our shame
Breathe again this mysteryNailed to a cross, there in our place
O Lamb of God You made a wayOnce for all You died so we could live again
Once for all You washed away our sin
Streams of mercy and love flowing free forevermore
And Your blood ran down once for allThe scars of love can still be seen
On Your hands and on Your feet
We feel Your heart, Your heart of grace
Heaven's gates have opened wide
You have raised us up to life
We breathe again this mystery
Nailed to a cross, there in our place
O Lamb of God You made a wayOnce for all You died so we could live again
Once for all You washed away our sin
Streams of mercy and love flowing free forevermore
And Your blood ran down once for allIn the shadow of the cross
We see our shame for what it was
And feel Your heart, Your heart of grace
We see Your power breaking through
And all that we've become in You
We breathe again this mysteryNailed to a cross, there in our place
O Lamb of God You made a wayOnce for all You died so we could live again
Once for all You washed away our sin

Thine is the glory, risen, conquering Son;
Endless is the victory Thou o’er death hast won.
Angels in bright raiment rolled the stone away,
Kept the folded grave clothes where Thy body lay.Thine is the glory, risen, conquering Son;
Endless is the victory Thou o’er death hast won.Lo! Jesus meets us, risen, from the tomb;
Lovingly He greets us, scatters fear and gloom;
Let His church with gladness hymns of triumph sing,
For her Lord now liveth; death hath lost its sting.Thine is the glory, risen, conquering Son;
Endless is the victory Thou o’er death hast won.No more we doubt Thee, glorious Prince of Life!
Life is naught without Thee; aid us in our strife;
Make us more than conquerors, through Thy deathless love;
Bring us safe through Jordan with Thy power and love.Thine is the glory, risen, conquering Son;
Endless is the victory Thou o’er death hast won.Thine is the glory, risen, conquering Son;
Endless is the victory Thou o’er death hast won.Words & Music by Edmund L. Budry and George Frederick Handel. Public Domain.

Easter Call To Worship, written by Myrna Frost
Leader: God, we come into your holy presence to praise you, our risen Lord and wonderful saviour.
People: We praise you for leading your people from the Garden of Eden to the Garden of Gethsemane
and beyond.
Leader: Father, we praise you for your abiding presence amongst your people.
People: Let us lift up our hearts in celebration of your life given for us.
Leader: God of all wisdom and understanding, we thank you that, because of your deep love for all, you
sent your son to the cross to die for our sins.
People: Let us sing for joy that you rose in triumph over death.
Leader: God of all hope, thank you that you are our shepherd, leading your people into places of peace
and reconciliation.
People: Let us join with our brothers and sisters throughout the world to praise you, for you have
conquered the grave and risen triumphantly, making a way for your children to live as victorious,
forgiven people.
All: May all the world unite in praising you and living lives that bring honour to your name and hope to a
broken world. Amen.

And can it be that I should gain
An interest in the Saviour’s blood?
Died He for me, who caused His pain,
For me, who Him to death pursued?
Amazing love! How can it be
That Thou, my God, shouldst die for me?
Amazing love! How can it be
That Thou, my God, shouldst die for me?He left his Father’s throne above,
So free, so infinite His grace,
Emptied Himself of all but love,
And bled for Adam’s helpless race.
‘Tis mercy all, immense and free,
For, O my God, it found out me!
Amazing love! How can it be
That Thou, my God, shouldst die for me?Long my imprisoned spirit lay
Fast bound in sin and nature’s night.
Thine eye diffused a quickening ray:
I woke, the dungeon flamed with light!
My chains fell off, my heart was free,
I rose, went forth, and followed Thee.
Amazing love! How can it be
That Thou, my God, shouldst die for me?No condemnation now I dread:
Jesus, and all in Him, is mine!
Alive in Him, my living Head,
And clothed in righteousness divine,
Bold I approach the eternal throne,
And claim the crown, through Christ my own.
Amazing love! How can it be
That Thou, my God, shouldst die for me?Words & Music by Charles Wesley.

Jesus hung on a cross
To bear our sin suffered such loss
But with new life God raised him from the grave
Demons tremble in fear
While angels raise a victory cheer
‘Cause Satan is the loser of the dayRunning to the graveside
We look for death, to our surprise
He is not there; He’s risen from the dead
Sometimes while we’re walking
Our eyes don’t recognize the king
But see Him in the breaking of the breadHe’s alive
He’s risen from the grave
He’s alive
Living power to save
Let all of God’s people sing AmenDeath, O where is your sting?
It seems you’ve lost your victory
When Jesus rose He left you in the tomb
The world’s darkest hour
Is turned upside down by God’s power
The stench of death becomes a sweet perfumeEvery new day dawning
Awakes a brand new song to sing
A song of hope and mercies always new
Even in the dark times
Of blackest night and stormy skies
